- I have always struggled with my weight. I have gained and lost hundreds of pounds over the last decade – and I mean 100 pounds lost, more than one time. And, while I felt like I knew what to do to drop the pounds – I can’t say I was being healthy or that my counting calories would ever truly get me to the place I was hoping to be – at a healthy and happy weight and liking my outer appearance! Left to my own up and down eating habits, while I have always been disciplined, I never knew how to maintain a healthy weight without “starving myself” – reducing calories daily until you can’t go any lower – then what? In just three short months, Tamea has already taught me so much about nutrition, my body, food and what it means to be healthy. I have a long road ahead, but I am comforted in knowing that I am already seeing so much progress! Not only is she knowledgeable, but more importantly, the way she explain things and present things to others - she never make me feel like I'm ignorant for not knowing some of this stuff. - When I met Tamea, I was already working out and thought I was making great improvements to my overall strength. What I didn’t realize is that while I was working “hard,” I was not working “smart.” Tamea’s education, past experience and fitness knowledge are unmatched. I’ve done formal training in other areas, including Pilates, but what I have found in Tamea is so completely different! She knows how to target your muscles to reach your goals, she pushes you to limits you never knew you had (without making you miserable), and most importantly, she teaches you to listen to your body and adapts and grows along with you to ensure you continue to reach new levels of strength, balance and flexibility. She is also a great listener, cares about me as an individual and that means my workout is tailored to my life at the moment. She wants to be a support system for you – she will work out with you, come to you, welcome you in her own space, change the meeting times at the drop of the hat and does it all with a WARM AND CARING attitude. I appreciate Tamea and her approach – which is clearly based in science – not only have I lost inches and gained strength – I’ve done exercises I never imagined I could take on – let alone be skilled at. If you are looking for a fitness regime that is customized to your needs and will 100% help you achieve your goals – I can’t recommend Tamea enough. And while I came to her as a “beginner” and now after almost two years of training consider myself more advanced, I’ve never felt a change in her approach. Consistently supportive every step of the way – while also kicking your butt! Best of both worlds!
- Tamea has been a God-send for me. She has taken over managing my fitness and nutrition so I can reach my health goals. Of course, we are partners, but she does so much work to prepare me to be successful... I can’t emphasize enough the value she has brought in helping me to live a healthy lifestyle. Tamea is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and will even tell you when your goals are unrealistic:) She is the opposite of prescriptive. She has never told me to follow a diet with strict guidelines or made me feel badly when I don’t deliver on my commitments. Instead, in my nutrition coaching sessions she is teaching me about my body, and what different foods are providing me. Tamea will pin point your challenges and work with you to build in healthier behaviors instead. As a mother of two, with a full time job like many women, I don’t have the time to learn, plan, prep and be disciplined enough to execute on it... even though I try! What I realized is that I rely on so many experts in life to achieve things, why should I not invest in that for my own self-care. Tamea is an expert – beyond knowledgeable, educated and committed to continue her learning journey to help her clients. And, the small steps we have taken, which felt like they could never have an impact – have done just that. The consistent small steps I’ve been taking have helped me to lose weight, get fit and feel healthier and happier overall... I can not recommend Tamea highly enough!
